Volunteers are needed for a dynamic 13 week entrepreneurial training program, the Gateway Business Forum, offered by RICMI. This program has run more than ten times at several locations around the state, particularly in low/moderate income communities and has graduated 80 entrepreneurs ready to take steps to open their businesses. You can help mentor or provide guidance to new entrepreneurs by committing to a limited number of hours of coaching three to four motivated students. We are looking for current or past small business owners with several years experience in operating a small business in industries such as retail and service, food/hospitality, landscaping, and construction. Business Buddies should be compassionate, goal-oriented, have a good network of business referrals, work with the RICMI team, and be members of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.
